Saline tattoo removal treatment uses a hand-held device to deposit a high concentration of salt water into the dermal layer of the skin (where tattoo ink resides) to force the ink to rise to the top layer where it will shed in the scab that forms over the procedure site during the healing process, revealing new skin. This treatment can remove old permanent makeup in addition to small body tattoos no larger than 2”x 2” in size. For comfort, a topical numbing agent is used on the skin in preparation for the procedure.

Fewer treatments are required when doing saline tattoo removal versus laser tattoo removal. Most tattoos will appear lighter with the removal of some ink after one treatment. Typically after a few treatments you will see significant results. Since there is no way of knowing what type of ink or how much or even how deep the ink was put into your skin, there is no guarantee on how many treatments will be needed to achieve satisfactory results.

There is much less pain and discomfort with this method because this method is much more gentle on the skin and uses salt which is natural and safe, less traumatic, and has faster healing.

Saline tattoo removal is a very successful way to remove tattoos and will remove almost every color, unlike laser which will only remove some colors. Lasers can also often leave behind white ghosting in the place of a tattoo.
